Thermal Matematical Model of the Non-detonation of the Ammunition

Mathematical model of heat through the shell of ammunition, to initiate the combustion reaction and assess the possibility of destruction of the shell to achieve the critical parameters of the detonation of the charge is submitted. Heating of a cover of an explosive is made by laser system.

Systems of the Neutralization of Shell Ammunition Without Detonation

In this paper we present lasers with self-phase conjugation, providing the possibility of obtaining high-power radiation. Possibilities of application of multichannel solid-state laser systems for neutralization of explosives without formation of the critical sizes of zones of warming up of explosive are besides discussed.

Problem of a Choice of Methods of Collecting and Research of Products of a Shot

The article shows the promise of research products shot by scanning electron microscopy. Spectrogram of the elemental composition of particulate product shot is presented.

Research of Products of a Distant Shot by Means of a Scanning Electronic Microscope

This paper presents the results of studies using SEM product shots fired various ammunition. The elemental composition of the product shots, tripping primer composition and morphology of the deposited particles were investigated in this paper.

Regularuty of the Traces Formation on Bullets and Cartridge Cases Depending on the Technological Peculiarities of the Homemade Renovation of the Gas Gun of the Izhevsk’s Mechanical Plant

In work the basic ways of alteration of the gas weapon of the Izhevsk mechanical factory in fire are presented, laws of formation of traces on bullets and sleeves depending on technological features of alteration are defined. Are offered concrete technical-forensic to the recommendation about research of traces of manufacturing of the self-made weapon at carrying out of diagnostic and identification examinations.

Problems of the Firearm Identification

This paper investigates the problem of identification of weapons in the traces of the firing pin on the primer with the marks of the production mechanisms, which were formed during the manufacture of ammunition. The studies used cartridges manufactured in Russia 9 Ч 19 mm with marking LVE LUGER.

Possibility of Farearm Identification on Fired Bullets Traces after Thermal Influence

The experimental research of influence of thermal heating of a bullet on traces of cut fire-arms on its surface is spent. Influence of heating of a bullet on process of identification of the weapon is defined.

Cartridge Case Signature Identification Using Topography Measurements and Correlations. Unification of Microscopy and Objective Statistical Methods

A comparison microscope employing the standard optical comparison method and confocal microscopy with subsequent cross correlation topography analysis were used to correctly identify cases fired from a set of ten (10) consecutively made pistol slides. The mathematical identifications were based on the breech face impression without the firing pin aperture shear marks. Fifteen (15) unknown cartridge cases were compared to test fired cartridge case sets from the consecutively manufactured slides.

Bullet Signature Identification Using Topography Measurements and Correlations. Unification of Microscopy and Objective Statistical Methods

Current firearm identification is based on image comparisons using optical comparison microscopes. The ability to produce an accurate identification depends on image quality which is largely affected by lighting conditions. Because ballistic signatures are geometrical micro-topographies by nature, the main objective is to demonstrate the usefulness of surface topography measurement techniques for firearm identification.

Identification of Firearms Laser Marks of the Barrel Bore

The paper considers the possibility of using laser marking to identify the bore arms on the traces on fired bullets. The analysis of modes of laser processing of a trunk at which traces on the shot bullet can be recognized by suitable to identification, is executed on the basis of the spent experiments.
