Stages and Tools of Transport Company’s Strategic Resources Determination

Abstract: 

Introduction. The process of determining the strategic resources’ composition attracted much attention of modern theoretical and practical issues of strategic management researchers. Its importance is due to the ability to ensure the development of enterprises’ core competencies and maintain the achieved competitiveness level. Transport services market in today’s conditions are marked of different features of functioning, affecting not only the company’s strategic resources, but also the methodology for their identification. Theoretical analysis. Strategic resources’ identification methodology is based on determining the company’s competitive advantages and its core competencies by using multivariate comparative analysis. In this issue the enterprise market position is great importance, due to its complex potential, or a collection of resources, defined with the help of an integrated assessment and competitive rating confirms benchmarking. Empirical analysis. The article describes the main stages of determining process the freight transport companies’ strategic resources, as a structural element of the resource strategy from the viewpoint of integration-and priority approach. The necessity of the regional information system’s application to ensure the objecti vity of the results is substantiated. Results. The result developed by the author methodology of the fright transport company’s strategic resources identifying is a proposal for the practical application of technological tools that allow after passing all the above in the methodology steps to define a part of the enterprise resource those development and use of which is necessary for market successful work and retain the competitive position.
